Varifocal lenses allow you to see at any distance because they have different precriptions. Therefore, the viewer can see close up, far away and everything in between.
As a result, one pair of varifocals can accommodate all your vision needs!
There is a period of adjustment with progressive lenses, and it will take a while for the wearer to get used to looking out the right parts of the glasses. It can take a little practice to angle your chin and head to comfortably read, for example. During this time the wearer can feel dizzy or a little sick. However, after this short period, most customers are very happy with the freedom that varifocals bring.
Of course, depending on the quality of the lenses, there is always some level of distortion around the peripherals. Normally, there are 3 different levels of quality when it comes to progressive lenses. Our skilled staff can recommend which level would suit you, based on your work, hobbies, etc.
Through the top part of the lens, the wearer can see objects in the distance.
To see into the middle distance, the wearer looks through the middle of the lens.
For activities such as reading, working on your phone or sewing, the wearer looks through the lower part of the lens.
When it comes to choosing lenses, it can be a bit overwhelming and there is a lot of information to take in. Our skilled employees have years of experience, and can help you decide what the best option for you is based on your favourite activities.
